Welcome to Themefy! Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Themefy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information obtained through our Chrome extension. By using Themefy, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a premium, personalized new-tab experience and focus workspace, Themefy collects and processes the following data:

A. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

If you choose to register an account or log in:

• Account Credentials: We authenticate you via Google OAuth (powered by Supabase). During this process, we store your Email Address, Full Name, Profile Avatar URL, and a unique User ID.
• Account Purpose: This information is strictly used to manage your account, identify your subscription tier (free vs. premium/lifetime), sync your saved favorite themes and custom bookmarks across sessions, and process subscription upgrades.

B. Location & Weather Information

• IP-based Geolocation: If you enable or view the Weather widget, Themefy uses your IP address (via third-party API ipwho.is) to approximate your geographic location (city, latitude, longitude).
• Usage: This location data is sent to OpenWeatherMap solely to fetch current local weather conditions and air quality metrics. We do not store or track your real-time physical location history.

C. Interaction & Analytics Data

We collect anonymized or pseudonymous product analytics to understand feature usage and improve user experience:

• Mixpanel & Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We log feature interaction events (e.g., themes selected, focus timer starts, feature modal views, and subscription clicks).
• For authenticated users, event properties may be linked to your User ID and user tier to help us troubleshoot issues and deliver personalized feature updates.

D. User-Generated Content & Local Preferences

The following data is stored directly within your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

• Focus Pomodoro timer settings, history logs, and task names.
• Custom site blocker rule groups and blocked domain lists.
